Pain, whether from an arthritis flare, an operation or a chronic health condition can stop you from being normally physically active and when you don’t ‘move it you lose it’. Gradually getting stiffer and weaker, eventually you find you have difficulty getting out of a chair, going up stairs, going for a walk or doing other activities you enjoy. This in turn can make you unsteady on your feet. Research has shown that walking outside or the fear of falling both double your risk of actually falling over. This ultimately puts limits on your lifestyle.
